Pratahkal is a daily Hindi newspaper and publishes from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur. The chain of newspaper was founded in the year 1979 in Udaipur. It was inaugurated by Shri LK Advani, the then Central Information and Broadcasting minister, in Udaipur. Pratahkal was started by Shri Suresh Goyal, the eminent writer and noted journalist of the country, who came from the famous Kagzi family of Mewar, the doyen of which late Gopal Lal Kagzi was the pioneer in establishing the first printing press in Udaipur. The Jaipuri edition was published in the year 1997. Pratahkal Jaipur & Delhi is handled by Sandeep Goyal, Pratahkal Mumbai is looked after by Mahip Goya, Pratahkal Udaipur & Jodhpur is seen by Sumit Goyal . Overall business incharge of the group is ML Jain. Pratahkal is a state level newspaper in Rajasthan whereas it has been catagorised in 'A' class in Maharashtra. Pratahkal is approved by the Central Government as well.
